andre blais photography reviews

Here's a sweet note I received from a happy bride...
Hi Andre,

Happy New Years!!! I hope you had a wonderful holiday and have had some time to relax before wedding season picks back up!!

You have been such a great guy to work with over the past year, and you truly do amazing work. I have had more people tell me that my pictures are some of the best wedding pictures they've ever seen!!! And of course, completely unbiased, I have to agree with them 100%!! Every time I look at my pictures, I am brought right back into the moment. Many people have made that comment - the way you captured the emotions of the day was just phenomenal. I could not be happier with my pictures!!!
Hope you're doing great - take care, talk to you soon,

Julie

wedding tips for going green

For those looking for a way to show the ones you love your passion for the environment check out this site:

Minimizing the amount of driving your guests will need to do, donating leftover food to charity rather than throwing it out, makes sense to me!

I had the privilege of eating photographing the "steak of the year" awarded by Providence Monthly Magazine to Ten Prime Steak and Sushi.

Chef Nick Rabar was kind enough to stop me from drooling and allowed me to devourer some hand massaged, beer feed, New York Strip Kobe steak.

Delicious is an understatement.

hotel northampton wedding

I had the honor of documenting the union of Wendy and Brian, a fun couple who were wed at the beautiful Wistariahurst Museum, following with their reception celebration at the Hotel Northampton.

This couple wasn't at all about to let a little cold air or snow on the ground hold them from back from having the time of their lives, the evening was filled with laughter and love.

Congratulations Wendy and Brian!

wind up the westin charity photography

This weekend I volunteered my services to the American Lung Association of Rhode Island and photographed their Wind Up the Westin fundraiser.

This alternative sporting event consisted of a race up the stairs of the Westin Hotel in downtown Providence. Winners were awarded in different age groups, check out Richard Bruno (shown below) winner of the 70+ age group who finished the climb in under six minutes (in jeans!!!)

I believe it's important to give back to your community whenever possible, it felt great to do my part by taking some shots for an awesome cause!

For more information on how you can contribute to the RI Lung Association check out their website at www.lungri.org or give them a call at (401) 421-6487.

glen manor house wedding pictures

Julie and Jeremy came down from New Hampshire for their amazingly beautiful wedding at the Glen Manor House in Portsmouth, RI. I was concerned when I woke up and saw it raining cats and dogs outside, but despite the early weather and day's forecast the skies cleared and it turned out to be a gorgeous day.

Congratulations Julie and Jeremy!

lake pearl wedding

I had the pleasure of capturing the wedding of Alyse and Billy, an awesome couple who were wed at the beautiful Lake Pearl Luciano's.
I already knew how great this couple looked together from shooting their engagement pictures over the summer and I've been looking forward to photographing their wedding ever since.
I had a blast hanging out with this fun couple and documenting their gorgeous wedding.
Congratulations Alyse and Billy!

alton jones wedding

I had a great time shooting the wedding of Cheryl and Chris, a fun, laid-back couple who weren't at all about to let the stormy remnants of hurricane Noel rain on their parade. As the rain poured down outside we used the intimate interior of the Whispering Pines estate for some beautiful relaxed portraits.

Congratulations Cheryl and Chris!
