I had the distinct honor of photographing the wedding of Reena and Achal. This was not only one of the largest weddings I've ever photographed, it was also one of the liveliest!

The festivities kicked off with an evening of celebration, henna, and dance as Reena and her family and friends reunited for this special event. The next morning followed with an intimate prayer ceremony with Reena and her family. Later that day, I photographed the groom's family party at the Newport Tennis Hall of Fame.

The wedding day took place at the Newport Hyatt on Goat Island. Family and friends came from as far away as Canada, England, and India for this joyous occasion.

I photographed the beautiful wedding of Deborah and Shawn, my final wedding for the year of 2009.

Deborah and Shawn came down from New York to be wed at Kinney Bungalow at Sunset Farm in Narragansett, RI. The groom Shawn is an experienced advertising photographer from NYC and I was honored to have been chosen to document his wedding day. It was also great to see all of the couple's friends and family also taking non-stop photos throughout the day. I'm used to the usual snapshots taking place alongside me, but it's refreshing to see people shooting with everything from vintage polaroids to the latest digital cameras.

I spent the weekend photographing the gorgeous wedding of Abigail and Jason.

On the evening before the couple's big day I also photographed their rehearsal dinner at the Waterfront Grille, a nice restaurant that was a great fit for the couple's maritime themed wedding.

Abby and Jay were married at the historic Seaman's Bethel in New Bedford, MA. The Seaman's Bethel is actually the original "Whalemen's Chapel" of Herman Melville's Moby-Dick. The chapel was originally constructed for the whalers of New Bedford to visit before setting sail.

Following the ceremony, we used the cobblestone roads and gaslight street lamps of the old town as backgrounds for some fun portraits. Afterward the celebration continued with their reception at the New Bedford Whaling Museum.

I had a great time photographing the wedding day of Shirley and Rory.

Shirley and Rory were wed at The Squantum Association, a beautiful waterfront venue conveniently located within minutes away from me in East Providence. The location also had a special meaning to the groom Rory, who's parents were also married there as well.

The couple added a nice personalized touch to the ceremony, with all of the guests writing messages to the couple on seashells. Afterwards guests followed the tradition of skipping stones into the water, with the amount of ripples predicting the number of children the couple will have in their family.

I had a great time spending the weekend out on Block Island photographing the beautiful wedding of Carolyn and Jon.

I already knew how great the couple looked on camera together since shooting their engagement session last year, and had been looking forward to photographing their wedding day for a long time coming.

Carolyn and Jon were wed at the Atlantic Inn, a venue that boasts of never having it have rained during a ceremony there, and sure enough we had an absolutely gorgeous day out on the island. Following their outdoor ceremony we snuck off for some couple's photos, followed by dinner and an evening of dancing by the sunset.

My own personal work from my series of the abandoned churches of Europe, along with the work of over a hundred other photographers, will be on display and available to win at the 2009 AS220 Photo Lottery on Saturday, May 30 from 6-9pm.

The Photo Lottery allows patrons to purchase a ticket to take home a random work of art from the gallery. All proceeds directly support the Paul Krot Darkroom, the only public darkroom facilities in Rhode Island; and the AS220 photo program, who continue to provide low and no cost education along with free events to grow the artistic community.

Robin and Keith (Wedding)

Yesterday I had the privilege of photographing the wedding day of Robin and Keith, a really sweet couple who were wed at McGovern's On The Water is Massachusetts. Despite the forecast, we were able to beat the passing showers and had perfect weather with nice soft light for portraits and an outdoor ceremony.

Robin and Keith had such great chemistry together on camera that they made my job of taking relaxed, natural portraits of each other effortless.

This weekend I had the honor of photographing the wedding of Tonya and Arismendy, a cool couple who really knew how to have fun and enjoy their wedding day.

After a nice outdoor ceremony, the reception at the West Valley Inn followed with a night full of fun, laughter, and plenty of dancing.

Lynn and David (Wedding)

Wow, I couldn't imagine an event that was more fun to photograph than the wedding of Lynn and David!

After their beautiful ceremony on the beach the couple shared some moments together but were soon interrupted by a kidnapping attempt by the bride's brother! Thankfully, the plot was narrowly averted by by the groom and his band of groomsmen and order was restored.

Afterwards the celebration continued with their reception at the Narragansett Towers and their late night afterparty at the Hotel Nylo.

Katie and Tom brought the year in right with their New Year's Eve wedding celebration at the Marriott Long Wharf in Boston.

Although the day started out with a heavy New England snow storm, the weather let up in the mid-afternoon and all family, friends (and photographers) arrived safe and sound.

Although it was pouring rain out we were still able to take some beautiful "outdoor" portraits with a little quick thinking and the use of awnings, overhangs, and open doors.

I had the honor of photographing the beautiful wedding of Meredeth and David at the Hyatt on Goat Island in Newport, RI.

Their wedding was as unique as it was gorgeous and included lots of original details and ideas. One such idea that I thought was particularly nice was having guests (and photographers!) write down advise for the couple on cards, which were later read aloud.

Andre the pictures are incredible! We have just been looking and looking at them since Saturday! For some reason this is the first chance I have gotten to email you back, but they are really stunning! You did a great job! Thank you so much!!

I love having them both in hard copy and in dvd format. We haven't shared them with anyone else yet, because we wanted to get to savor them for a little while! BUT I think I will have to start showing them off very soon! haha!!!!
